Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as an After-School Program Coordinator at the YWCA of Lubbock. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing the YWCAre after-school program, aligning with Lubbock and Cooper ISD school schedules.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement the YWCAre after-school program in accordance with the YWCA of Lubbock's philosophy, policies, and procedures.
  • Attend all staff meetings and trainings to ensure you are up-to-date on program requirements and best practices.
  • Fulfill all required mini-camp responsibilities to provide quality care for families during school breaks.
  • Comply with attendance and communication policies, including providing formal documentation for absences and start/end dates.
  • Adhere to scheduled work hours, arriving on-time and prepared to begin work.
  • Respond to the individual needs of program participants, treating them with dignity and respect.
  • Supervise children at all times, maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
  • Maintain accurate counts of children in care and adhere to YWCA cell phone policy.
  • Interact positively with children, parents, and staff, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Prepare daily for program operation and curriculum implementation.
  • Utilize open and effective communication with program participants, parents, and staff.
  • Maintain complete and accurate program records.
  • Organize and maintain a safe and healthy learning environment.
  • Contribute to staff and program development with ideas and initiative.
  • Assist in evaluating program effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Learn and support the YWCA mission, vision, and policies.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • One to three months of related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Maintain up-to-date First Aid and CPR certifications.
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of organization, planning, records management, research, and general administration.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, students, parents, and community.
  • Operate standard office equipment.
  • Follow oral and written instructions.
  • Present self professionally in appearance and mannerism.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings or weekends.
  • Pass a criminal history background check and FBI fingerprint check.
