Job Summary

As a Perioperative Nurse First Assistant, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care in the perioperative setting. This position requires a strong foundation in nursing principles, surgical procedures, and instrumentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons with surgical procedures, including hemostasis, wound exposure, and suturing.
  • Utilize advanced technology and instrumentation to support surgical care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Provide patient advocacy and respect patient autonomy and dignity.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities and contribute to positive patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current registration to practice in the state where work is being performed.
  • Successful completion of RNFA program and internship.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Competent in mathematical calculations associated with medication administration.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two years of operating room experience in both scrub and circulating roles.
  • Certification in perioperative nursing (CNOR).
