Job Title: Senior CAD Technician

BGE, Inc. is a leading engineering consulting firm providing services in civil engineering, planning, construction phase administration, and environmental services. Our Atlanta division is expanding due to project wins and has an immediate need for a Senior CAD Technician.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior CAD Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing non-routine and complex assignments from verbal instructions and under minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of Civil 3D and CAD manual drafting techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform complex CAD assignments from verbal instructions and under minimal supervision.
  • Determine drawing sequence and presentation.
  • Work closely with Project Managers and recommend minor design changes.
  • Review work performed by CAD Technicians I and II before submitting to Project Engineer.
  • Prepare cost and quantity estimates.
Requirements:
  • Prior professional computer drafting experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of Civil 3D.
  • Working knowledge of CAD manual drafting techniques and CAD standards.
  • Knowledge of construction plan preparation for land and/or site development projects.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
