Position Purpose:
Overall accountability for overseeing the financial processes within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll operations. Ensure that robust internal controls are established.
- Prepare journal entries, analyze financial statements, and conduct monthly closing activities for all entities.
- Generate financial and management reports for the Executive Team, including the development and analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborate with the CFO and management team to compile data for annual budgeting, strategic planning, and cash flow management.
- Responsibilities necessitate a high level of judgment, initiative, and the capacity to navigate complex accounting challenges.
- Proactively identify and execute process enhancements.
- Ability to manage large volumes of data, multitask, and thrive in a dynamic and sometimes high-pressure environment.
- Exceptional computer and Excel proficiency. Comprehend fundamental IT concepts and effectively communicate requirements to the IT department.
- Capability to research and adopt new software solutions as business needs evolve.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members to foster professional growth and support the achievement of organizational goals.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, along with 10 years of combined public and corporate accounting and finance expertise.
- Experience in a management role.
- Strong analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving abilities.
- CPA certification (active or inactive) is required.
- Experience with QuickBooks and other accounting software.
- Advanced skills in Excel and Microsoft Office 365.
- Familiarity with CRM systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
