The Regional Support Specialist plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of home health care services. This part-time position is designed for individuals who are passionate about supporting Personal Care Aides (PCAs) in their daily tasks and ensuring that clients receive the highest standard of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide essential support and guidance to Direct Care Staff (DCS) during home visits.
- Monitor patient environments to ensure safety and compliance with care standards.
- Verify that all necessary documentation, including home binders, is complete and accessible.
- Ensure that DCS adhere to professional dress codes and possess their agency identification.
- Facilitate communication between DCS and the Direct Care Management team to guarantee that care plans are executed as intended.
- Conduct on-site visits to offer assistance, address concerns, and follow up on recommendations.
- Offer ongoing training and support to DCS regarding documentation practices and patient care protocols.
- Distribute personal protective equipment (PPE) and care plans to homes as required.
- Assist with scheduling needs for both patients and DCS to optimize care delivery.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date MediSked schedules for staff and patients, ensuring timely communication of any changes.
Qualifications:
- Must possess certification as a Personal Care Aide, recognized by the appropriate state authorities.
- Candidates should be at least eighteen years old and demonstrate proficiency in reading and writing.
- Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions to meet patient needs effectively.
- Must successfully pass all required background checks and meet physical demands of the role.
Compensation:
- Starting pay is $19 per hour, with benefits that include earned paid time off, performance-based raises, 401K options, health insurance, and additional voluntary benefits for eligible employees.
