The Grand Bay Hotel San Francisco, a prominent hotel in the heart of Redwood City, is seeking an experienced leader to fill the position of Director of Sales & Marketing. This role presents an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional to make a significant impact on our team.

Job Description:- Create and implement effective communication strategies, advertising initiatives, and public relations plans to maximize business potential.
- Develop and execute sales, digital marketing, and revenue management tactics to drive growth and profitability.
- Foster strong internal and external relationships with clients, stakeholders, associates, and ownership to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Serve as the lead for solicitation efforts, overseeing rate, date, and space commitments for group, banquet, and catering customers while driving total and ancillary revenue.
- Lead and develop the sales and catering team, ensuring they possess the skills and expertise needed to excel in their roles.
- Cultivate a culture of excellence by interviewing, hiring, training, and recommending performance evaluations, resolving problems, and providing open communication and guidance.
- Ensure staff proficiency in using brand channels, Cvent, Wedding websites, and other relevant tools.
- Analyze market trends and industry developments to inform strategic decision-making and drive innovation.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to hotel operations, including budgets, forecasts, pace reports, action plans, production reports, and weekly summaries.
- Promote Crescent programs and services to internal and external audiences.
- Navigate local organizations and communities to develop business relationships and opportunities.
- Conduct persuasive verbal presentations to prospective clients, owners, and associates.
- Engage in regular travel to meet with clients, entertain, and promote the hotel's offerings.
- Communicate effectively with the staff through clear direction and written communication.
- Collaborate with the digital and revenue team to create promotions through third-party channels.
- Prepare and execute annual budgets and business plans, critically evaluating market conditions and making adjustments as necessary.
- Attend scheduled sales department and executive team meetings to align on goals and objectives.
- Promote associate recognition and community engagement initiatives.
- Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar leadership role at a hotel.
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, sales, and closing skills.
- Local market knowledge is highly valued.
In California, the estimated annual salary range for this position is $150,000-$180,000, depending on factors such as years of experience, industry background, education, and location.
