The Kitchen Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in supporting the management team by fostering a friendly, knowledgeable kitchen staff that consistently exceeds expectations. This position is ideal for those looking to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced culinary environment, with responsibilities ranging from guest interactions to order expediting and hands-on cooking. Upon joining, you will receive training to deliver exceptional service and support your team in executing shifts efficiently. You will gain exposure to various kitchen stations and learn our food standards to effectively coach and assist others. Collaboration with the Chef and Sous Chef is essential as you contribute to a team-oriented service environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred
  • Previous supervisory experience is advantageous
  • Minimum of 2 years in a kitchen or cooking role
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Thorough knowledge of menu items, pricing, and quality standards
  • Ability to maintain focus and perform tasks amidst interruptions
  • Capability to work independently and as part of a team

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily food receiving, storage, and preparation processes
  • Document food waste accurately
  • Conduct nightly protein inventory counts
  • Assist in weekly inventory management
  • Ensure all food products adhere to company recipe standards
  • Meet timing standards during food production
  • Inspect and approve dishes prior to serving
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food temperatures and sanitation
  • Assist in cooking as needed to maintain service flow
  • Consult with the manager on duty for decisions impacting financial outcomes
  • Complete assigned opening and closing duties
  • Follow maintenance and cleaning schedules
  • Communicate relevant shift information to management
