At Youth Villages, we are committed to helping troubled children and their families find success. We are seeking a LifeSet Specialist to join our team and help us implement our transitional living program in North Carolina.
Job SummaryThe LifeSet Specialist will provide 16-22 year old clients with the knowledge to utilize all available community resources. This includes assisting them in locating and learning how to use community resources such as housing, employment, and education. The specialist will form therapeutic relationships with program participants, families, friends, and other key community stakeholders.
Responsibilities- Handle a caseload of year old clients
- Create individual service plans with each client based on their goals in order to transition into adulthood
- Work collaboratively with the individual, family, and community
A Master's degree in a social services discipline is preferred. A Bachelor's degree in a social services discipline is required. Degrees that can be considered include social work, drug and alcohol education or counseling, psychology, guidance counseling, or marriage and family therapy. Other degrees will have to be evaluated further to determine if they meet the qualifications.
Experience in a clinical or case management setting is required. Experience with the population is also required. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary. Excellent written, verbal, and oral skills are required. Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously is necessary. Basic computer knowledge is required. Ability to maintain a flexible schedule is necessary.
