Part Time RN House Supervisor Job Description

San Luis Valley Health is seeking a part-time RN, House Supervisor to provide administrative supervision in workflow, resource utilization, and bed management for assigned clinical and non-clinical departments.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to support the psychological and physical needs of patients, visitors, and coworkers. Responsibilities include responding to organizational emergency situations, disaster notification processes, handling patient placement, and escalating assistance when necessary.

The House Supervisor role involves understanding the resources required to resolve issues and knowing when to utilize them to facilitate organizational operations.

Requirements:
  • Current active Colorado Registered Nurse Licensure
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
  • BLS, ALS, PALS, and Neonatal Resuscitation certifications upon hire
  • Minimum of two years of experience in an acute care setting preferred
Responsibilities:
  • Strong understanding of nursing laws, policies, procedures, and practices
  • Assess and interpret staffing effectiveness in providing healthcare services
  • Serve as a resource to patients, families, providers, and staff
  • Maintain nursing standards of care and assist with policy updates
  • Demonstrate commitment to quality improvement
  • Coordinate team problem-solving methods
  • Act as a liaison with facility directors
