Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Picture Framer to join our team at Michaels Stores. As a Picture Framer, you will be responsible for creating memorable framing solutions for our customers' art. This role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build customer relationships and provide a personalized framing experience
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements
  • Execute Company policies and standards, including maintaining a safe, clean, and clutter-free environment
  • Deliver sales and production results, including completing framing orders with a high degree of quality and on time
  • Maintain the ready-made frame department and other assigned areas, including SISO and Directed Replenishment
  • Provide friendly customer service, help customers shop, and find what they are looking for
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs, including supporting shrink and safety programs
  • Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner, remain positive and respectful, even in difficult situations, and promote commitment to the organization's vision and values
  • Participate in the truck un-load and stocking processes to ensure truck standards are followed and completed within budget
  • Operate cash register and execute cash handling to standards
  • Acknowledge customers, help locate product, and provide solutions
  • Assist with Omni channel processes
Requirements
  • Basic computer skills and basic measuring skills
  • Ability to operate the framing equipment and glass cutter
  • Retail experience and experience selling products and/or services to customers
  • Physical requirements include regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching, as well as the ability to move throughout the store and remain standing for long periods of time
Work Environment

This role is based in a public retail store setting, with all public areas being climate-controlled. Some stock rooms may not be climate-controlled, and some outdoor work may be assigned to retrieve shopping carts or while unloading trucks. The Frame shop contains glass cutter and heat press, and work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
