Job Summary:

The Environmental Service Hospital Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of facilities or locations within a healthcare campus. This includes cleaning and polishing lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim, as well as sweeping and/or vacuuming floors, dusting furniture and equipment, and polishing metalwork.

Responsibilities:
  • Clean and polish lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim
  • Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas
  • Sweep and/or vacuum floors
  • Dust furniture and equipment
  • Polish metalwork
  • Wash walls, ceiling, and woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills
  • Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to the disposal area
  • Replenish bathroom supplies
  • Transport small equipment or tools between departments
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent required
  • Experience in the janitorial industry a plus
  • Medical cleaning a plus
  • Post-Offer Medical, Background Screening, and Drug Test required
  • Successful applicants for this position must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment
