Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Assistant/ Patient Care Coordinator to join our team at Phoenixville Animal Hospital. As a key member of our veterinary practice, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a positive experience for our clients.

Responsibilities:
As a Veterinary Assistant/ Patient Care Coordinator, you will assist our veterinarians and veterinary technicians in all aspects of patient care, including preparing animals for exams and surgery, performing medical treatments, and administering medications under the direction of a veterinarian or veterinary technician. You will also be responsible for obtaining and properly handling laboratory specimens, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and providing excellent customer service to our clients.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You must also be able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb, as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds and lift over 50 pounds with the assistance of a coworker. You will be routinely exposed to a variety of pets that may bite or scratch, and on occasion, exposed to anesthesia, radiation, biological hazards, and medication/controlled substances.
