About the Role

We are seeking a talented Transportation Environmental Expert to join our team at @Orchard LLC. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in providing expert advice and analysis on climate change affecting all aspects of transportation.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expertise on the development, coordination, and evaluation of climate policy affecting all aspects of transportation.
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to convey complex information to a broad audience, including top-level agency officials.
  • Design and conduct strategic program studies, which may be characterized by very broad or changing parameters, serving as technical authority for these programs.
  • Assess and improve environmental programs using a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Support environmental programs to ensure compliance on subject matter areas, including air, water, and land pollution, noise pollution, hazardous waste management and disposal, environmental cleanup, NEPA documentation, environmental management research and development, Environmental Quality Awards, and environmental training.
  • Evaluate program functions, policy initiatives, and studies related to climate policy, analyzing and formulating Departmental policies, plans, and guidelines related to climate policy affecting all aspects of transportation.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience applying progressively responsible and in-depth principles, concepts, and practices related to environmental impact on program activities.
  • A Bachelor of Science Degree is required.
  • Experience and comfort with MS Office products.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team environment and face clients directly.
  • Ability to view problems from multiple angles and apply various solutions to solve them.
  • Clearly articulate the value-propositions and prepare final drafts of major deliverables, ensuring quality control.

The estimated salary for this position is approximately $122,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
