Job Summary

The Sr Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, installing, and repairing facility equipment in accordance with OEM specifications and prescribed preventative maintenance schedules. This role requires a strong analytical and problem-solving skillset, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate assigned equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to company and OSHA safety programs and rules.
  • Perform work in accordance with approved procedures and work instructions, ensuring quality and production standards are met.
  • Conduct technician-level preventative maintenance on all assigned equipment, following the preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical systems and controls, using machine shop tools and practices as needed.
  • Assist with training and provide input to support other team members and department personnel.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical training and license preferred.
  • 4+ years of previous maintenance experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook, and Internet applications.
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management, and planning skills.
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting.
  • Possess a mechanical aptitude and ability to use a variety of hand tools and basic knowledge of power tools, forklifts, welding equipment, and cutting torch.
Work Environment
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk, hear, and see.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold and heat, risk of electrical shock, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
  • The noise level in the work environment may be high.
