We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Laboratory Director to join our team at Christus Health. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of our laboratory services, ensuring that we deliver high-quality patient care and meet the highest standards of accreditation.

Salary
The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000, depending on experience and qualifications. This compensation package includes a comprehensive benefits program, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
Job Description
As a Medical Laboratory Director, you will be responsible for:
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the laboratory, including personnel management, budgeting, and compliance with regulatory requirements;
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely test results;
- Collaborating with clinicians and other stakeholders to improve patient outcomes and reduce costs;
- Maintaining accreditation with The Joint Commission and other accrediting agencies;
- Serving as a resource for clinical and technical staff on matters related to laboratory testing and patient care.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution;
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in moderate/high complexity testing, preferably in a supervisory or management role;
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT);
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team of professionals;
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
