Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Training and Development Coordinator to join our team at the Seattle Housing Authority. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will play a critical role in expanding and deepening career development opportunities for SHA employees.

Responsibilities
  • Provide impactful, accessible, and engaging training to employees from diverse backgrounds, focusing on topics such as supervisory skills, career development, and conflict resolution.
  • Develop and implement training programs to help employees become stronger candidates for future supervisory positions within the agency.
  • Design and deliver mentorship programs, including a formal mentor and mentee application and matching process, orientation, and evaluation.
  • Collaborate with HR staff to identify training needs and develop solutions to address them.
  • Manage and juggle a diverse workload, meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
Requirements
  • Four years' experience and/or training in social services, housing, human services, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in education, communications, business, public administration, humanities, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Expertise in providing training and development programs, with a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and trust with colleagues and stakeholders.
