Role Summary:

We are in search of a dedicated Sanitation Specialist for our newly established, mid-rise affordable housing community. In this role, you will be entrusted with various housekeeping responsibilities aimed at ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of the community.

  • Foster a community atmosphere that enhances residents' quality of life through exceptional customer service and a welcoming environment.
  • Establish strong connections with community residents.
  • Perform daily cleaning of common areas, amenity spaces, restrooms, and model units, following a schedule set by the maintenance supervisor.
  • Regularly clean office spaces as per the Maintenance Supervisor's directives.
  • Maintain cleanliness of elevator cabs, lobbies, and door tracks according to the maintenance schedule.
  • Remove debris from the grounds daily, especially in the absence of the Groundskeeper, ensuring the area remains tidy and visually appealing.
  • Assist in maintaining public spaces and emptying public trash receptacles.
  • Utilize the apartment cleaning checklist to prepare vacant units after move-outs.
  • If applicable, oversee the cleanliness and organization of the pool house, including maintaining public restrooms and amenity spaces.
  • Replace used towels in the pool area with freshly laundered ones daily.
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are well-maintained and report any repair needs to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Comply with Fair Housing regulations.

Qualifications:

We seek a customer-oriented Sanitation Specialist who can effectively collaborate with the site team to fulfill the community's daily housekeeping requirements while building rapport with residents.

  • Team-oriented mindset, prioritizing collective success over individual achievement.
  • Self-motivated, ambitious, and determined.
  • Strong communication skills; proficiency in English is required.
  • Previous janitorial experience in hotel or residential settings is advantageous.
  • Basic computer skills, including email and Microsoft Office Suite, along with the ability to navigate online training platforms.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as per the established schedule.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and access to an insured, operational vehicle.

Physical Demands:

  • Standing: 5-7 hours daily.
  • Walking: 3-6 hours daily.
  • Lifting: generally between 25-50 lbs.
  • Twisting: infrequent, approximately 1-120 twists daily.
  • Bending: moderate bending required.
  • Squatting/Kneeling: continuous for 3-7 hours daily.
  • Climbing: 3-6 hours daily, including stairs.
  • Endurance: moderate energy requirements.
  • Manual Dexterity: frequent gross and fine motor movements.

Environmental and Safety Considerations:

  • Weather: exposure to both indoor and outdoor environments, including varying weather conditions.
  • Noise: occasional exposure to high-volume sounds; hearing protection is provided.
  • Moving Objects: potential risk of injury from moving objects.
  • Pace of Work: typically fast-paced.
