Position Summary:
A General Assembler is responsible for executing parts and material installation and assembly tasks according to both written and verbal instructions.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Execute installations and assemble components based on detailed written instructions, routings, blueprints, and verbal guidance.
2. Clean, assemble, disassemble, and replace parts as necessary.
3. Maintain a tidy and safe working environment while optimizing space usage.
4. Communicate effectively and collaborate with supervisors and colleagues.
5. Operate and maintain shop equipment.
6. Adhere to quality service standards and comply with established procedures, rules, and regulations.
7. Keep the production supervisor informed about work status, workload, challenges, and progress related to assignments.
8. Perform additional related duties as required.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of one year of relevant experience.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient reading and basic math skills; ability to comprehend verbal and written instructions.
- Capability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, shop tools, equipment, and measuring devices.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and procedures; experience with machinery and forklifts is preferred.
- Background in manufacturing and/or automotive fields is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel if necessary.
- Openness to attend educational training and classes.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing.
- Ability to walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and crawl.
- Frequent use of hand tools and materials, which may lead to repetitive hand motion.
- Regularly lift and move up to 10 lbs.; frequently lift and move up to 30 lbs., and occasionally lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Visual acuity to see and adjust focus both up-close and at a distance; the position requires peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to distinguish colors.

Work Environment:
- Exposure to high noise levels.
- Machinery operation necessitates the use of safety equipment, including but not limited to: eye protection, hearing protection, work boots, and hard hats.
- May require outdoor work.
- Loose-fitting clothing and jewelry are not permitted.

Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation for this position will range from $18 to $20 per hour. Qualified candidates will be compensated for a 40-hour work week, working four 10-hour shifts while attending classes at BridgeValley on designated days.
