As a Radiologic Technologist in our Orthopedics department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients.
Key Responsibilities- Perform technical and diagnostic imaging functions under the direction of a provider or radiologist.
- Provide timely and quality services to patients, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience.
- Interact with patients to welcome, explain, and respond to questions and concerns during and following the procedure.
- Complete procedures in compliance with physician orders, regulatory requirements, and department guidelines.
- Room patients and manage patient flow, identifying patients with two identifiers and documenting all necessary aspects of the procedure.
- Observe and communicate with patients, responding to their needs and maintaining a safe patient environment in the procedure area.
- Perform dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) scans and other diagnostic imaging procedures as required.
- Provide accurate clerical functions, using electronic medical records and imaging storage and retrieval systems.
- Communicate with supervisors and team members, reporting problems, issues, or ideas and providing assistance and information to support the work of others.
- Vocational or technical training graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Registered Technologist - The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required upon hire.
- BLS Tier - Basic Life Support - Multisource required upon hire.
