Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and perform advanced set ups on primarily turning center machines and some secondary operations.
  • Inspect articles to verify conformance to specifications applying basic understanding of GDT.
  • Identify damaged or inferior quality products.
  • Perform SPC and maintain process to within target using appropriate computer software/hardware.
  • Monitor machine operations and proactively seek out additional work when available.
  • Proactively recognize the need for machine maintenance and cleaning.
  • Independently perform maintenance activities to ensure proper operation.
  • Complete departmental paperwork and electronic data where applicable.
  • Train coworkers on how to operate, adjust, and set up machines.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent and 4+ years machining/manufacturing experience, or an equivalent combination of experience required.
  • Intermediate Blueprint reading skills.
  • Advanced math computation skills for reading and using measurement gauges and blueprints.
  • Ability to understand and apply advanced geometric concepts.
  • Ability to interpret GDT.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to multi task.
  • Ability to read and communicate information and technical data effectively.
Work Environment

Work takes place in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and chemicals. Ability to use PPE. Ability to stand or sit for long periods. Good manual dexterity, fine motor skills, visual acuity, and ability to use full range of motion. Ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds with assistance.
