Patient Care Assistant

At Methodist Health System, we're committed to delivering exceptional care to our patients and communities. As a Patient Escort, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of patients throughout our hospital.
Responsibilities- Transport patients to and from clinical, ancillary, and support areas, following established departmental policies and procedures.
- Communicate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient transitions and safe care delivery.
- Transfer patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, or stretchers, adhering to departmental policies and Standard Safety Precautions.
- Assist patients with loading and unloading their belongings upon hospital discharge.
- Provide accurate and detailed documentation of all transport activity using our patient tracking system.
- Pick up and deliver specimens and films, following departmental policies and procedures.
- High School diploma or General Educational Development (G.E.D.) preferred.
- Previous patient care contact experience is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities are essential.
