Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain and record vital signs, review drug allergies and current medications, and complete applicable screening questionnaires.
  • Collect and prepare ordered specimens for laboratory analysis.
  • Prepare and provide ordered medications and/or vaccines to patients.
  • Clean and sterilize instruments.
  • Ensure patient exam rooms are stocked, clean, and orderly.
  • Escalate non-routine issues, questions, and/or concerns timely and appropriately.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of medical assisting program.
  • Successfully completed Medication Aide 40-hour course or current/valid.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
