Apt is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead building and infrastructure projects consisting of multi-discipline teams of employees in design. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of the entire project delivery process, from pre-design through closeout, contract management, project delivery methods, building systems/components and technology, team building, and client relationship building.

The successful candidate will have a professional degree in Architecture, Construction Design, or a related field, and 10+ years of experience in an Architectural/Construction organization. Strong communication skills, both written and oral, are essential for this role. Additionally, the candidate should be self-motivated, an initiator, and have a strong ability to understand and review drawings and specifications, submittals, RFI's, schedules, change orders, and invoices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead building and infrastructure projects
  • Mentor staff and form long-term relationships with clients
  • Pursue new work, including strategy development, positioning, proposing, and negotiating contracts
  • Provide effective, skilled project management to reduce costs and add value to the business

Requirements:

  • Professional degree in Architecture, Construction Design, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in an Architectural/Construction organization
  • Strong working knowledge of project delivery process
  • Strong communication skills
  • Self-motivated and initiator

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior project management experience in education building projects
  • Professional Registered Architect (RA) and/or American Institute of Architects (AIA)
