Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leadership and people management, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams towards achieving common goals. Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Plant Manager in the overall management and operations of the plant.
- Leading and managing a team of operations supervisors to ensure operational excellence and efficiency in production processes.
- Developing and implementing strategies to optimize plant performance, improve productivity, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Providing leadership in setting and achieving operational KPIs and targets, including safety, quality, production efficiency, and cost control.
- Driving a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and high performance within the plant.
- Mentoring and developing a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and professional growth.
- Ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards, promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and innovation in plant operations.
- Acting as a strategic partner to the Plant Manager, providing insights, recommendations, and support in driving the plant's overall success.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in operations management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the packaging industry.
- Proven track record of leadership and people management, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams towards achieving common goals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and drive operational improvements.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization.
- Strategic foresight and ability to think long-term, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities in the industry.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience in driving operational excellence, cost reduction, and process optimization.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and compliance with regulatory standards.
