Job Summary:
US Digestive Health is seeking a Medical Care Professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support in a fast-paced medical environment.
About the Job:
This is a full-time position that requires 8 hours of work per shift, Monday through Friday, with no weekends. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a dynamic setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review daily schedules and prepare exam rooms to ensure a smooth patient flow.
- Prepare patients for small bowel capsule studies, paracentesis, and blood transfusions.
- Perform rectal swabs for pathogens and explain procedures to patients.
- Answer telephone calls, complete triages, and document procedure notes in patient charts.
- Inventory and track medication samples, schedule appointments, and prepare patients for procedures.
- Assist with in-office procedures, explain procedures to patients, and obtain consents.
- Maintain accurate records, clean and disinfect exam rooms, and follow infection control protocols.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in a medical setting, preferably in gastroenterology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
