Overview

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a skilled Medical Professional to join our team as a Wound Care Specialist. This exciting opportunity allows the selected candidate to utilize their expertise in wound care to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our nation's heroes.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients with acute and chronic wounds
  • Utilize evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes and expand knowledge of skin and wound management
  • Develop and implement plans of care that promote progressive understanding of skin and wound healing
  • Integrate knowledge, skills, and judgment to manage complex wound care situations
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A graduate degree in nursing or related field
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the United States, or the District of Columbia
  • At least two years of professional nursing experience, one of which is equivalent to Nurse I, Level 3
