Job Summary

Fishbeck, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Surveyor to join our team in Dayton, OH. As a Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting a variety of job responsibilities in the field and office, including construction staking, engineering design surveys, boundary surveys, data collection, GPS, GIS mapping, mobile or terrestrial LiDAR collection, field investigation, field review, and coordination of multiple projects and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adjust and operate surveying instruments on a variety of private and public projects, including construction staking and boundary, topographic, right-of-way, and as-built surveys.
  • Compile information necessary to stake projects for construction using engineering plans.
  • Operate computerized data collection.
  • Record survey measurements and descriptive data using notes, drawings, and sketches.
  • Process survey data and create boundary, topographic, right-of-way, and as-built surveys with MicroStation and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Manage projects with strict adherence to budgets and deadlines.
Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in Surveying or Engineering, or applicable experience, is required. A Professional Surveyor license or ability to obtain licensure is strongly desired. Valid driver's license is required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 8+ years of related surveying experience.
  • Experience with MicroStation Select Series and Open Roads Designer.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Experience managing projects.
  • Prior work on Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) projects.
  • Ability to work on construction and project sites while complying with all applicable safety requirements.
  • Work effectively both independently and as a team member.
  • Perform responsibilities with attention to detail and deadlines.
