Job Title: Professional Engineer / Professional Surveyor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Professional Engineer / Professional Surveyor to join our Transportation team. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of progressive experience and possess excellent professional and interpersonal skills to make a positive impact on our firm and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project management responsibilities, including preparing scopes of work and estimates for engineering and survey projects.
  • Developing project quality control and quality assurance processes.
  • Planning, scheduling, and coordinating technical aspects of projects.
  • Performing professional review of project deliverables.
  • Having excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Engaging regularly with clients to discuss current projects, evaluate performance, and identify other client project needs.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Performing analysis for complex boundary surveys and preparing associated plats and boundary descriptions.
  • Performing advanced calculations involving field survey data.
  • Preparing surveyor's reports, legal descriptions, closure calculations, and other documentation as required.
  • Using Civil 3D to design and produce drawings.
  • Maintaining a strong working knowledge of the client's standards.
  • Able to adapt quickly to changing priorities and conditions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required.
  • PE and PS required.
  • 10+ years of experience.
  • Experience with ODOT survey and right-of-way standards preferred.
