Palliative Care Specialist

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a skilled Palliative Care Specialist to join their team in Livonia, Michigan.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited institution and be board certified in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) for Nurse Practitioners, or hold a PA-C (Certified Physician Assistant) credential for Physician Assistants.

The successful candidate will have active and unrestricted licensure to practice in the state of Michigan and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

The Palliative Care team at Trinity Health IHA Medical Group provides consultative services to patients, families, and other healthcare team members to treat pain and other symptoms, help with discussion of goals and wishes, or provide extra support to help families find needed resources to assist in caring for their loved one.

This opportunity will entail inpatient palliative care consults with no outpatient coverage responsibility. The ideal candidate will be able to work 1-2 weekends per month.
