Tanker Assembly Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Tanker Assembly Specialist to join our team at GTT, LLC. As a key member of our electrical equipment assembly team, you will be responsible for assembling and testing electrical equipment, including tank substation and three-phase pad-mounted transformers.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble and test electrical equipment, including tank substation and three-phase pad-mounted transformers.
- Make all necessary connections to bushings, switches, and other electrical components.
- Locate and move tanks, parts, and covers to the assembly area.
- Assemble bushings and current transformers to cover or tank as specified.
- Mount cores and coils in tank and bolts in place. Clamps cover in place and make all electrical connections to bushings.
- Locate and assemble all accessories, such as oil level gauges, thermometers, pressure-vacuum gauges, pressure relief devices, etc. to the tank as specified.
- Check all lead clearances inside the unit and assemble needed spacers and or insulating barriers as required.
- Perform resistance testing on small pad-mounted transformers.
- Assemble VFI, Load break switches.
- Build CTs and PTs.
- Build fuse racks.
- Read blueprints and schematics.
- A High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution is required.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
- All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of the facility. Active-duty military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
