American Sign Language

We are seeking a skilled American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter to provide high-quality interpretation services in various settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of deaf culture and be able to effectively communicate with individuals who are deaf, deafened, hard of hearing, and/or oral.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret between ASL and spoken English with accuracy and fluency
- Maintain compliance with national, state, and local licensure and certification requirements
- Adhere to the NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct
- Complete tasks and projects promptly and within approved guidelines
- Stay up-to-date with new technologies and adapt quickly to changing environments
Requirements:
- 3 years' experience as an interpreter (preferred)
- Interpreter certification
- Strong understanding of deaf culture and social experiences of deaf and hard of hearing persons
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
Additional Requirements:
- Computer or laptop with Windows 10 or higher
- Steady wired internet connection with download speeds of 20 Mbps and upload speeds of 10 Mbps
- Webcam and USB wired headset
- Contrasting backdrop for video calls
