Speech Language Pathologist Job Description

Amergis is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing plans of care for patients with speech, language, and hearing deficits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide skilled speech therapy services and interventions to patients with speech, language, and hearing deficits.
  • Assess patient needs and plan for, evaluate, and modify care to meet goals of the speech therapy interventions.
  • Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to plan and evaluate team goals for each patient.
  • Instruct patients, families, and caregivers on the patient's total speech therapy program.
  • Advise, consult, and instruct members of the multi-disciplinary team in specific speech therapy modalities and interventions.
Qualifications:
  • Current license as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of practice.
  • Graduate of a Speech Language Pathologist program accredited by the American Speech and Hearing Association, and holds or is eligible for a certificate of clinical competence granted by the American Speech and Hearing Association.
  • Minimum of one year experience in an acute care facility, out-patient setting, community health service, home health agency, or private practice as a Speech Language Pathologist in the past two years preferred.
  • Current CPR card.
