We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Floor Care Specialist to join our team at Intermountain Healthcare. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of our facilities, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Facilities Maintenance: Perform floor care tasks, including stripping, buffing, burnishing, scrubbing, and refinishing hard surface floors, as well as vacuuming, bonnet buffing, shampooing, extracting, and performing spot removal on carpeted floors.
- Cleaning and Sanitation: Use cleaning and floor chemicals properly, following established procedures and guidelines to maintain a clean and sanitary environment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain assigned equipment, reporting any problems or issues in a timely and appropriate manner.
- General Housekeeping: Perform general housekeeping duties as assigned, including handling and disposing of infectious waste and trash.
- Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills, including the ability to read color-coded labels and chemicals, and follow written and verbal directions.
- Experience: Have experience working without direct supervision and possess a strong attention to detail.
- Professional Experience: Possess professional experience in carpet cleaning and hard surface floor care.
- Physical Requirements: Be able to perform tasks that require carrying, climbing, crawling, hearing/listening, lifting, manual dexterity, pulling/pushing, seeing, speaking, squatting/kneeling, standing, and walking.
