Position Overview
We are seeking a Software Architect to contribute to our dynamic support for the Space Development Agency (SDA). Recognized as the Department of Defense's innovative disruptor in space acquisition, SDA delivers space-based capabilities to the joint warfighter, enhancing terrestrial missions through the development, deployment, and operation of the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture. SDA employs a distinctive business model that emphasizes speed and cost-efficiency by leveraging commercial development to establish a proliferated architecture and improve resilience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide architectural oversight and strategic direction for the development of new or enhanced software products.
- Articulate the architectural vision, conceptualize and experiment with alternative architectural strategies, create models, and develop component and interface specification documents, while validating the architecture against established requirements and assumptions.
- Collaborate with various product developers, product managers, and customer application experts to create software solutions that incorporate necessary features and modifications.
- Offer technical guidance to other departments within the organization and may be responsible for integrating components developed by product teams.
- Work independently on highly complex projects without supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
- TS/SCI clearance required.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and energetic environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience collaborating across a diverse range of organizations to achieve strategic objectives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree - Master of Science or higher preferred.
