Program Recruiter and Adult Learner Transition Manager

Georgia Southern University is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Recruiter and Adult Learner Transition Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for serving adult and online students in their transition to college via programs and services offered by Adult and Online Learning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote all programmatic and educational offerings by Adult and Online Learning to regional community members, campus partners, and potential students.
  • Establish relationships with regional nonprofits and government entities to garner adult student interest in Georgia Southern.
  • Recruit prospective adult learners and engage with enrolled nontraditional students through University events, including orientations, open houses, community events, and evening programs.
  • Develop and manage new programs, events, and outreach initiatives that attract and engage both prospective and enrolled adult learners and fully online students.
  • Promote and recruit students for the University's prior learning assessment program.
  • Assist with implementation of the prior learning assessment (PLA) course by working one-on-one with students to identify potential PLA opportunities, navigating the student through the PLA process, course payment, course completion, portfolio submission, and approval.
  • Collaborate with university offices to facilitate the transition of adult learners to continuing education and professional certification programs.
  • Manage office communications with prospective and enrolled adult learners and fully online students, including social media initiatives and all incoming and outgoing communication via telephone, email, etc.
  • Assist with supervising office graduate assistants and other student employees.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Two or more years of experience working in higher education
  • Three or more years of related work experience
  • Three or more years of supervisory experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree

This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis. Offers of employment are contingent upon completion of background investigation, confirmation of credentials and employment history, and a satisfactory credit check. Applicants may be subject to a pre-employment drug test.
