Soliant is seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher for a full-time position at a school district near Waltham, MA.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will provide specialized instruction to high school students with moderate to severe disabilities, adapting lessons to meet their individual needs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with students, families, and other educators.
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assess student progress regularly, making necessary adjustments to instruction and goals.
- Maintain open communication with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress.
Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts Special Education Licensure with Moderate and Severe certifications.
- Experience working with high school students in a special education setting.
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
This is a full-time position with a 35-hour workweek, running from September to June.
