Job Summary

Massachusetts General Hospital(MGH) is seeking a skilled Orthopaedic Technician to join our team in Waltham, MA. As a key member of our Ambulatory Clinic, you will provide high-quality Orthopaedic services to patients, working closely with our physicians and staff to ensure excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Orthopaedic services to patients, including casting, splinting, and orthotic device fabrication.
  • Collaborate with physicians to evaluate patient orthotic needs and recommend appropriate treatments.
  • Design, fabricate, fit, and repair Orthopaedic devices, including surgical supports.
  • Teach patients about proper use and maintenance of their Orthopaedic devices.
  • Assist with fracture reduction, setting dislocations, and suture removal.
  • Maintain accurate patient medical records and inventory of Orthopaedic equipment.
  • Participate in the evaluation of Orthosis on patients to ensure proper fit, function, and quality.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • ATC certification preferred.
  • Possess knowledge and demonstrate proper techniques working with tools required to fabricate orthoses.
  • Casting experience strongly preferred.
Work Environment

This is an outpatient physician office position, primarily located in Waltham, MA.
