Thermal Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Thermal Design Engineer to join our team in Spring, TX. As a key member of our Commercial Architecture team, you will focus on Power and Platform Architecture, working alongside other engineers to design innovative engineering solutions for mechanical and thermal hardware, electronic enclosures, and production tooling.

Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing testing parameters for new and existing designs, validating tolerances, form/fit/function, shock and vibration, safety, reliability, and more. You will also work with mechanical and electrical engineers to develop optimum platform design architecture and new proof of concept ideas using the latest technologies based on marketing requirements.

This is an onsite role at our Spring, TX location, requiring 3 days of on-site work per week. The hourly pay range is $45-$65/hr based on experience. We offer a diverse and inclusive work environment where you can bring your full, authentic self to work every day.

We value strong understanding of computer/PC architecture, with 8+ years of experience in an Engineering role designing mechanical systems. A Bachelor's degree in ME with a focus on Thermal Fluids is required, along with experience with Flotherm, Ansys, or other thermal CFD modeling tools. You should also have experience with fan, heat pipe, and vapor chamber design, as well as a strong understanding and experience in electronics packaging on the engineering side. Ability to use CFD and thermal mockups to validate thermal solutions is essential.
