Aerotek is seeking a skilled Automotive Painter to join our team. As an Automotive Painter at Aerotek, you will be responsible for preparing work prior to painting, performing grinding, sanding, buffing, and masking off areas not to be painted, filling cavities and dents, surfacing on the repaired area to attain the required finish, cleaning and preparing surfaces, and mixing and applying paint to prepared surfaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare work prior to painting, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
- Perform grinding, sanding, buffing, and masking off areas not to be painted, using various tools and equipment.
- Filling cavities and dents, using specialized techniques and materials.
- Surfacing on the repaired area to attain the required finish, using advanced techniques and tools.
- Cleaning and preparing surfaces, ensuring a clean and dust-free environment.
- Mixing and applying paint to prepared surfaces, using precision and attention to detail.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of experience in automotive painting or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of painting techniques and materials.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
