We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team at Abraxas Youth & Family Services, an affiliate of Apis Services Inc.

About the Role:

As a Substance Abuse Counselor, you will provide group and individual counseling, community support, case coordination, and crisis intervention services to clients with a primary substance use disorder diagnosis.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED and 24 credit hours of college education or accredited training program in substance abuse counseling and/or other human services area.
  • LSW, LCSW, LPC, or LCPC certification
  • Criminal clearances (Act 33 and 34, specific State & child clearances and, if necessary, FBI)
  • Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department
