Position Overview:

We are on the lookout for a highly qualified and experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to become a part of our construction team. In this role, you will be tasked with the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of heavy machinery, including bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and other construction equipment. You will collaborate with a team of professionals in a dynamic environment, ensuring that all machinery is maintained to the highest standards and ready for operation at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and rectify mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in heavy machinery.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on heavy equipment, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid inspections.
  • Rebuild engines, transmissions, and other significant components of heavy machinery.
  • Utilize and maintain various hand and power tools, diagnostic instruments, and other necessary equipment.
  • Collaborate with fellow mechanics and technicians to guarantee that all machinery is in optimal condition.
  • Maintain detailed records of all repairs and maintenance performed on heavy equipment.
  • Ensure a clean and organized workspace, with proper storage for all tools and equipment.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic in the construction sector.
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic systems and power trains.
  • Experience in rebuilding engines, transmissions, and other major components of heavy machinery.
  • Knowledge of diesel engines and their components.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in heavy equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and capability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
