Position Overview:
We are in search of a seasoned Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our dynamic team within the construction sector. In this role, you will be tasked with the upkeep, repair, and overhaul of heavy machinery, such as bulldozers, excavators, and loaders. You will collaborate with a skilled team in a high-energy setting, ensuring all equipment is maintained in optimal working condition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in heavy machinery.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid inspections.
- Reconstruct engines, transmissions, and other significant components of heavy equipment.
- Utilize a variety of hand and power tools, diagnostic instruments, and other necessary equipment.
- Collaborate with fellow mechanics and technicians to guarantee all machinery is operational and ready for deployment.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Ensure a tidy and organized workspace, with proper storage for all tools and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic in the construction field.
- In-depth knowledge of hydraulic systems and power trains.
- Experience in overhauling engines, transmissions, and other major machinery components.
- Familiarity with diesel engines and their associated parts.
- Proficient in diagnosing and addressing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical challenges in heavy equipment.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work autonomously.
- Strong communication and problem-solving capabilities.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet stringent deadlines.
- Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
