Position Overview:

We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of heavy machinery, including bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and other construction equipment. You will work in a dynamic environment alongside a team of professionals, ensuring that all machinery is maintained in optimal condition and ready for operation at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in heavy machinery.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on heavy equipment, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid inspections.
  • Rebuild engines, transmissions, and other critical components of heavy machinery.
  • Utilize a variety of hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and other necessary tools for the job.
  • Collaborate with a team of mechanics and technicians to ensure all equipment is functioning properly.
  • Maintain detailed records of all repairs and maintenance activities performed on heavy machinery.
  • Ensure a clean and organized workspace, with proper storage for all tools and equipment.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic in the construction sector.
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic systems and power trains.
  • Experience in rebuilding engines, transmissions, and other significant components of heavy machinery.
  • Knowledge of diesel engines and their components.
  • Ability to diagnose and fix mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in heavy equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and capability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
