At Equitable Advisors LLC, we believe in empowering our employees to grow and develop their skills. Our Emerging Leaders Program is designed to provide a comprehensive learning experience that helps you build a strong foundation in leadership and business acumen.

Program Overview

The Emerging Leaders Program is a 18-month rotational leadership development program that provides you with hands-on experience in different areas of the company. You will work in three areas for six months each, gaining insights into what you enjoy doing and helping inform your career choices going forward.

Key Components
  • Innovation and Design Office: You will gain skills in executing on critical business priorities, as well as executive presentations, market research, and quantitative analysis.
  • Finance Department: You will get hands-on experience with financial modeling, management reporting, and executive dashboards.
  • Commercial Businesses: You will learn about the products and advice we offer our clients and what differentiates Equitable Advisors LLC in the marketplace.

Throughout the program, you will participate in a vigorous learning and development program, focusing on industry and business knowledge as well as technical skills. You will also build relationships with senior executives at Equitable Advisors LLC through one-on-one mentorship and network with senior leaders across the organization.

Qualifications

To be eligible for the Emerging Leaders Program, you must have recently earned a Bachelor's degree within the past 1-2 years. You should also possess the following competencies and skills:

  • Accountability: Understanding the importance of taking personal responsibility and ability to take personal responsibility for assignments, decisions, and results.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Knowledge of collaborative techniques and approaches and ability to promote a culture of continuous improvement and working together across functions to solve business problems and meet business goals.
  • Data Gathering and Analysis: Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes and ability to gather and analyze data on the learning needs of a target population.
  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques and ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Effective Presentations: Knowledge of effective presentation tools and techniques and ability to present information to groups with the appropriate degree of formality.
  • Planning and Organizing: Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources and ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.
  • Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational, or process problems and ability to apply knowledge of problem-solving appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Storytelling: Knowledge of concepts and ability to plan, create, and present business proposals, initiatives, and ideas by storytelling actual business scenarios that are situation-specific, engaging, memorable, and persuasive as compared to one-way, fact-based presentations.
  • Written Communications: Knowledge of written communications issues and ability to produce a variety of business documents that demonstrate command of language, clarity of thought, orderliness of presentation while communicating ideas, information, and requirements effectively.
