Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Specialist to join our team at Temecula Valley Hospital. As a Patient Access Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our patients receive accurate and timely registration and billing services.
Key Responsibilities:- Obtain and verify patient demographic and financial information
- Complete accurate and timely registrations and billing services
- Correctly select and apply insurance coding and descriptions
- Ensure correct room placement for patients
- Run and accept HDX reports for all applicable insurances
- Obtain and verify necessary notifications, authorizations, and tracking numbers for all accounts and insurances
- One year of experience in a hospital admitting or medical business office, with computer experience preferred
- High School graduate or equivalent preferred
- CPI Certification within the first 90 days
