Job Title: Equine Podiatry Program Assistant

Join the team at Colorado State University's Veterinary Teaching Hospital as an Equine Podiatry Program Assistant. This exciting role offers the chance to work closely with experts in equine podiatry, contributing to the care and well-being of our equine patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist as a veterinary technician in the Podiatry Center (2 days per 6 weeks)
  • Gather case information from clients/referring DVMs/farriers for podiatry cases
  • Manage podiatry inventory of supplies and medications
  • Assist in development of podiatry caseload by contributing ideas to make the Podiatry center more sustainable, efficient, and successful
  • Participate in monthly conference calls with the service team
  • Collaborate with CSU VTH team for fundraising
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree
  • 1 year working as a veterinary technician in a veterinary setting
  • 2 years of horse handling experience
