Job Title: Receiving Supervisor Warehouse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Receiving Supervisor to join our team at Builders FirstSource. As a Receiving Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient receipt and processing of building materials and products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of workers engaged in verifying and keeping records on incoming shipments of building material products.
  • Study receiving notices, invoices, orders, and other records to determine receiving priorities, work assignments, and methods required to meet receiving schedules.
  • Oversee incoming receiving activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
  • Inspect unloading operations to ensure safety and inspect material handling equipment for defects.
  • Direct the movement of shipments from receiving platforms to storage and work areas.
  • Compile records of unfilled orders and prepare bills of lading.
  • Issue written and oral instructions and maintain harmony among workers and resolve grievances.
  • Control inventory adjustments and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds and work in a warehouse environment.
