Contract Type: Estimated "6 Month Contract to Permanent Hire"

Compensation: $60.00 / Hourly Rate (Based on Experience)

Salary Upon Permanent Hire: $115,000 - $130,000 + Benefits

  • At least 5 years of experience in maintenance engineering or reliability within an industrial manufacturing setting.
  • Strong understanding of Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability principles.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead initiatives to ensure the reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls, and safety/security systems.
  • Identify and manage risks related to asset reliability that may impact operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate reliability engineering concepts throughout the software development lifecycle, addressing performance issues and achieving availability targets.
  • Provide leadership and technical guidance to team members involved in reliability and maintenance efforts.
  • Analyze past incidents to determine root causes and enhance predictive capabilities for future issues.
  • Evaluate and recommend monitoring tools and diagnostic techniques to enhance system observability.
  • Engage in troubleshooting and repair of industrial, military, and commercial systems.
  • Participate in system design consultations, platform management, capacity planning, and launch reviews.
  • Utilize proactive, preventative, and predictive maintenance strategies to mitigate equipment failures.
  • Propose innovative solutions to extend the lifespan of equipment and facilities while reducing maintenance costs through thorough analysis of recurring failures and predictive maintenance reports.
  • Contribute to a risk management strategy that anticipates both reliability-related and non-reliability-related risks that could affect operations.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and methodologies in reliability engineering, including observability-driven development and chaos engineering.
