Job Title: 1:1 Registered School Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered School Nurse to provide individualized health care to a specific student with unique medical needs.

Job Summary:

As a 1:1 Registered School Nurse, you will collaborate with teachers, parents, and healthcare professionals to ensure the student's health and well-being while promoting a positive educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver direct nursing care to the assigned student during school hours.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
  • Monitor and document the student's health status and any changes.
  • Develop and implement Individual Health Plans (IHPs) in collaboration with the student's healthcare team.
  • Educate staff and classmates about the student's medical condition, when appropriate.
  • Provide emotional support and promote self-advocacy skills for the student.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to a multidisciplinary approach to the student's education.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with health regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in [State].
  • Experience in pediatric nursing, school nursing, or a related field is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
