Job Title: School Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate School Nurse to join our team at Rebecca School. As a School Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our students with neurodevelopmental delays.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver health services, including medication administration and management, and advocate for the health rights of children.
  • Focus on the needs of individual students as well as the entire student population.
  • Collect and organize annual medical forms for students and staff, maintaining confidentiality.
  • Administer care for staff and student incidents, complete required forms, and contact parents/guardians as necessary.
  • Maintain necessary medical equipment and supplies.
  • Be available for medical emergencies.
  • Complete reports as mandated by city and state agencies.
  • Knowledge and implementation of Department of Health rules regarding illness of children and staff.
  • Provide in-services on relevant medical topics.
  • Maintain professional competence by attending staff development programs and continuing education programs.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree Required.
  • Valid NYS License and State Certification.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with students, staff, and parents.
